M.O.F.U modular object functional unit / Baden 2012
What more would a organized swiss time traveller want more than modular furniture that serves as luggage, storage and adapts to any space with functionality and purpose while being a ever transforming sculpture? With this in mind creating M.O.F.U came with great pleasure and a certain esprit of a child at play. Built as a construction kit with the single unit being one crate. With endless possibilities a starter kit consists of 4 crates 2 series of lids, 8 screws, 2 connector pieces and 2 handles. This version holds 2 storage compartments of which 1 is hidden and various open spaces. This unit serves well as an instant stool, side table or storage unit.

When renovating the studio at Atelier Harlan what could have been a better stage to play. M.O.F.U in its characteristics is a pioneer. Solving the gap and building bridges in transition. Offering a temporary solution ever transforming as a sculpture with a purpose. At this point the original all natural wood version has been updated with a non-toxic glaze adding an additional dimension.
